Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant has developed a unique four-wheel drive combat vehicle (6 x 6) – the MZKT-690400 special-purpose wheel chassis – designed specifically for the placement of different weapon systems.
Maximum protection (BR-4 class): The cabin and the engine compartment are fully armoured. The fully welded armoured cabin is fitted with a raised floor and anti-spall liner to protect the crew against blast wave and fragmentation. The fuel tanks are self-sealing: they are immune to fuel leaks and ignition if hit by bullets or fragmentation.
Stealth effect and air transportation: The vehicle has a compact cabin and a low frame, making its camouflage very easy. Due to adjustable suspension, clearance can be “dropped” to minimum, thus enabling easy loading of the vehicle on aircraft, like the Il-76.
Extreme cross-country capability: In cross-country terrain, by contrast, clearance grows from 200 mm to 550 mm! You will hardly get stuck as the vehicle is fitted with a two-speed transfer gearbox with the main locking differential, driving axles with locking inter-wheel and cross-axle differentials, as well as 14.00R20 run-flat tubeless tyres (if they are punctured, the vehicle can still be driven).
What’s under the bonnet? The 312 horsepower 6-cylinder in-line YaMZ-536 diesel engine paired with an MZKT proprietary 6-speed hydraulic power transmission. The maximum speed is 90 km/h.
Vision in complete darkness: The vehicle features a video surveillance system and a parking aid system with a high-resolution monitor. The driver and the crew can have real-time control over the situation, manoeuvre easily and drive on public roads and off-road terrain even in complete darkness.
