Vitebsk-based “Display” Design office”, JSC, has, on its own initiative, developed a new fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) UAV. The system is intended for air surveillance, ranging to objects and their precision positioning.
The VTOL concept implies that the UAV combines the speed of an airplane with the convenience of a quadcopter and does not need a runway or a catapult launcher.
Key characteristics of the product:
• Excellent flight performance: the maximum speed can reach 120 km/h (cruise speed – 75-100 km/h), while the time in flight is at least 90 minutes.
• Impressive load-carrying capacity: the UAV is designed to carry a payload (mission equipment) of up to 10 kg.
• Tactical radius: stable communications and control are established at a distance of at least 50 km.
• Round-the-clock and all-weather operation: the UAV is efficient in task performance during the day and at night, as well as in extreme climates (its operating temperatures range from -35 °С to +50 °С).
